Tuesday Tips and Tricks!

Happy Tuesday! Today’s tip will help you produce wire wraps with the same sized loops for your wire jewelry projects! When you are using round nose pliers to create wire wrapped loops (see the technique here), it’s very difficult to turn your loops so that they’re all the same size every time. Luckily, there’s a very easy way to fix that problem while still using your basic round nose pliers! Simply find the spot on your pliers that will produce the size of loop that you want. Next, take a permanent marker and draw a line on your pliers in that spot. For every wire wrap you need to make, just position your wire at this line and you’ll be guaranteed to have even loops every time! Permanent marker does rub off of pliers pretty easily, but it should stay on the pliers long enough for you to complete your project. Since it does rub off, you can create new marks on your pliers for each project!

Being in Australia I haven’t bought much through your shop, but return here time and again for hints and tips like these and your fabulous project ideas – being fairly new to beading, which I love, I am not that artistically minded and need all the help I can get – thank you!
