Before you sell, gift, or photograph your crystal jewelry it’s a good idea to check it for smudges or fibers. I know I always wind up leaving at least one or two obvious thumbprints on my crystals, especially when I’m working with large pendants or stones. The last thing you want to do is damage crystals in a finished piece of jewelry, so use today’s trick to safely make your Swarovski crystals shine!
Use a glasses cleaning cloth to gently wipe your crystals. These cloths are designed to clean glasses lenses, which means they’re soft enough not to scratch your crystals and lint-free so that they don’t leave fibers behind. Just be sure to use an extra-light touch on any crystal with a coating or effect. You don’t want to rub away what makes a crystal special!
Because I wear glasses I always have one of these cloths in my purse or desk drawer. If you’re not sporting stylish frames of your own, you can find these cleaning cloths at your local drug store.
