Taking the perfect photo doesn’t happen with the first snap of the camera or even the first five! Experienced photographers know that it takes time, effort and a lot of photos to get just the right image. Today’s tip is to produce better jewelry photos by increasing the number of photos you take!
Taking more photos means you’ll have more options when it comes time to choose the right image of your jewelry. On average, I take between 5-15 photos of each of my projects. It’s always nice to be able to show off your jewelry from every angle to give a better idea of what a piece looks like in person. And snapping photos from different angles can also lead to finding something you like about the piece you never noticed before!
Another great thing about taking multiple photos is that you can try out different backgrounds, lighting and displays to see what shows off your jewelry the best! I usually experiment with at least two different backgrounds for each jewelry piece I photograph.
Your jewelry is the star of this photo shoot, so take advantage of the work you put into your set-up and snap as many photos as you can!
