  • Kay

My favorite part of summer is being to get some things caught up around my yard and home. Plus I love the longer days and growing season.

I love waking up early on summer mornings, when the sun is just rising, the coolness of the night before has not yet burned off, and the world is tranquil save for the melodies of neighborhood birds. The day is poised and full of promise. That, to me, is the best part of summer.

  • My favorite things about summer; my daughter’s softball games, the sun coming through the windows, and best of all–summer road trips!

  • Debbie

Camping as I take beads to work on beading while enjoying the outdoors.

When I was very young I loved getting up early on summer mornings and sitting outside with the morning dew forming sparkles of droplets on the leaves and flowers. I was sure if I was still and patient enough I would spot a tiny fairy among the flowers! I thought I caught a glimpse a few times! Now that inspiration and imagination transfers to sparkles of crystals, etc. Beads are a wonderful outlet for my imagination! Oh yes, and the ocean! Growing up in Southern California I loved summer days at the beach.

In the past the best part was having the summer off because I was a teacher. Now that I am retired it is the fact that I can see the grandchildren more from the 22 year old to the 1 year old. I also enjoy being able to go on vacation. It is also great to go to the farmers’ markets and get fresh fruit and vegetables. I enjoy…

  • My favorite part of the summer is getting to spend quality time with friends and family.

  • Melissa Grant

My favorite part of summer is being able to walk on the beach and collect seashells

Believe it or not, Hawaii does have seasons, subtle but there. My favorite part of summer is we sometimes get to go see family and friends on the mainland. *That* is fun! : )

  • Cynthia

My favorite part of summer is vacation! Spending time at home or with family is WAY better than being at work all day!!

  • Judy

My favorite summer activity is spending time on my porch. From there I can watch the wide variety of birds (and squirrels and chipmunks) that visit my bird feeder and water dish. The animals are used to my presence and will come very close.

  • Carmen Patino

Favorite time of the summer are the hues and sounds of summer nights. Jazz and a cool glass of sparkling wine are standard parts of a perfect summer night.

  • Becky R.

My favorite part of summer is spending time at the beach. I never tire of watching those powerful ocean waves hit the sand and rocks, seeing the beautiful scenery at the coast. This also happens to be my favorite winter activity as well.

  • Bonnie

Best part of summer? Everything!!! Warm weather, beach, sunshine, cold beers :) ,bbq’s, barefoot walks, birds singing, beautiful sunsets, family gatherings, loose fitting clothes, barely wearing clothes (that, too), green everywhere, flowers all around, some rain to refresh our days and our souls, lemonade, potato salad, and most of all the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow!!!!

  • Monica D.

My favorite thing about summer is spending more time with the kids! (In August I may have a different answer:D)

  • Judy Chonak

The best part of summer for me is nature, and all the ways to enjoy it. The scent of mown grass, te blues and greens in the roll of the sea, and gardens just everywhere.

  • Ashley

My favorite part of summer is seeing bright, bold colors everywhere!

  • Jonalyn Young

I love being in the sun. Sometimes, I take my beading table out in the backyard and create (or as I tell my family-I’m going to the backyard to play). Sunlight is the best light.

  • I love daytrips to the beach numerous weekends in the Summer. My favorite part is walking the edge of the water looking for & collecting seashells, sea glass, etc. I also love taking pictures of wildlife, friends and family swimming out further than I can go. I am able to zoom in & be with them in a way. I love the sounds & smells & more than anything, letting my water feel the waves washing up on shore. Finally my last 2 favorites sitting on the beach alone writing in my journal about all the colors, sounds, smells, nature & wildlife. And finally, I love when we take charter boat cruises for Dolphin Watching and Whale Watching. The one time we were out on the whale watch when the sun was just starting to change the colors of everything. Quite Amazing.

  • My favorite part of summer is catching up on crochet and beading projects since it is sooo hot outside (I’m in Arizona), and the kids are home to occupy each other. Unlike the rest of the country, this is when we are indoors.

  • Kathy vang

    Long summer nights and vacations!!

  • Karli

(Hope I’m not too late to enter!)
My favorite part of summer is just having the time to do fun stuff like stay inside and make things. It’s too hot outside for me, and I find beading way more fun than getting all sweaty and gross out in the sun, anyway.
