Tucson 2011!

Welcome to sunny Tucson! Well it was sunny but it definitely wasn’t warm. We headed off to Tucson expecting temperatures in the high 60’s to low 70’s – a tropical heat wave compared to Seattle. However, when we got there, Tucson like most of the rest of the country was hit with a winter cold front. It got to record lows of 19 degrees! Check out the frozen fountain Katie and I found!

The cold weather didn’t dampen our spirit! We were here to shop and check out all of the new stuff in the bead world. Our first day at the shows – comfy shoes and badges on!

Check out C-Koop’s booth. It’s a beautiful rainbow of copper enamel charms and beads.

There was inspirational jewelry everywhere! I liked this piece made by Beadalon designers.

These earrings from Linda Hartung use pink wire lace ribbon and Swarovski crystals. Gorgeous!

Check out this amazing necklace made from colored wire from Parawire and glass beads!

Fun earrings with TierraCast components and Swarovski crystals!

Not only was there shopping, but there were parties and fabulous people that we got to chat with. Here we are with the amazing Danielle Fox, editor of Stringing magazine.

Marcia DeCoster, amazing bead artist and instructor posed with us – but I think her necklace steals the spotlight.

Thank you to all of the amazing people who participated in the Swarovski Elements Sparkling Make and Takes on the Patio! Katie and I had a great time! And thankfully it warmed up a little in the afternoon!

Tucson, we will miss you! See you next year!

Great job Lindsay! Sorry I wasn’t there to see everything. What fun.

  • I miss you guys so much! It was fabulous to see you as always. I wish that we could have had more time to hang out and talk and laugh. Maybe I’ll finally get myself up to the Northwest and hang with you all on your home turf.
